The CDL:

Can be tailored to engage any number of stakeholders in a community to analyze any number of aspects of a community
•Is modeled on participatory democracy, the basic tenants of strategic communication/planning and the procedures employed by bodies such as the United Nations and the US Congress
Is a tool for community building and communication based on the themes of the community's future
•Facilitates a productive exchange of ideas and provides an environment in which these ideas may evolve and take shape
Develops a strategic plan with measurable benchmarks and provisions for implementation
Is at its most successful when adapted to include individuals with differing levels of involvement in the community


	Cimientos & Structure designed the Community Development Lab [CDL], to assist communities in their development. Any community from businesses to schools, a small organization or candidate's constituency to a city or state can utilize the CDL to engage their community and create the environment conducive to development of sound cimientos, structure & strategy.
